I have always been a very career oriented woman. I worked around the clocked with my husband and business partner, Larry wireman, who developed the Caribe Resort and Turquoise Place in Orange Beach, AL. What I wasn’t excepting, however, is that everything would changed when I rushed to the hospital to deliver Tess Alexus Wireman on October 2009. I assumed I would go back to work, but after giving birth, I realized all I wanted to be was a full-time mommy. My earlier thoughts of hiring a nanny vanished.
Tess was such a wonderful baby, and having two brothers myself, I wanted her to experience the closeness of a sibling. My own mother was adopted, but had never really considered adopting myself though I realized it was an option. It must have been “meant to be”, because Tess now has two healthy and beautiful baby sisters. The adoption process was a wonderful and precious experience.
A situation developed with one of our companies, Caribe Interiors, where we had two seamstresses employed. We were making bedding and pillow products for design clients. I always enjoyed dressing our girls alike, and they loved it also. So we started making some clothes for our baby girls, and it grew from there. We started designing clothes for babies and toddlers, and little girls. Now we include little boys and tweens. We also have a large selection of school uniforms and accessories, including scarves and bows. Most of our outfits are custom designed using organic cottons when available. We make everything in Orange Beach, with very talented local people employed full time.
Our clothes are very southern in charm and very comfortable. We design a lot of reversibles so that they can be used with two different looks. We also do a lot of personal monogramming. We invested in a very large, professional monogram machine, believing that there is a need for this in children’s clothes.
